Northwest Rankin High School is proud to announce the recipients of the Mississippi Seal of Biliteracy for 2024-2025. These students also qualified for the Global Seal of Biliteracy!

The Seal of Biliteracy is an award and credential given to students who have attained a high level of fluency in English and another World Language.

Purple Up! Day is a special day celebrated in schools across the country to show support and appreciation for military children. By wearing purple, students and staff honor the strength, resilience, and sacrifices of kids in military families. Purple symbolizes all branches of the military, blending Army green, Navy blue, Air Force blue, Marine red, and Coast Guard blue. It’s a simple but powerful way for school communities to say, “We see you, we support you, and we thank you.” Don’t forget to wear purple tomorrow to show your support for our students and their families!

Meet Mr. Blake Windham, our go-to guy for all things transportation across the entire Northwest Rankin zone — that’s five elementary schools, one middle school, and our high school! Whether it’s coordinating safe, efficient bus routes or making sure our students get to school and back home without a hitch, Mr. Windham keeps everything rolling smoothly (literally!). We’re thankful for the way he supports all our campuses behind the scenes. Thank you, Mr. Windham!

Three Rankin County students won full tuition scholarships for a year to Hinds Community College after placing first place in the annual Hinds Literary Festival on April 4.
