Student teams are competing at the Aerial Drone Competition in Jackson, MS. Here are some highlights from the first round this afternoon.

Among the challenges, teams must maneuver their aircraft through obstacles and move ping-pong balls across the floor into goals. In one challenge, pilots will operate their aircraft behind screens and have to rely on their teammates to help them land on a pre-determined landing zone.

UATI is a proud sponsor of the 2023 Aerial Drone Competition Championship this weekend in Jackson, MS. Check out the next generation of drone engineers in action! More than 50 teams of students from 14 states nationwide are competing this weekend. The winning team will be awarded with full scholarships for UATI training to bolster their knowledge of aviation safety and industry credentials.
