We are excited to announce that we have hired Jerious Norwood as our new head coach for varsity football. Coach Norwood was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2006 NFL draft by the Atlanta Falcons where he played Running back for 6 seasons. He attended college at Mississippi State University and set the school record for career rushing yards. Coach Norwood shares LCA’s vision for using athletics to disciple athletes and make fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.

There will be a football informational meeting Thursday, May 19th @ 5:00 in the cafeteria. Please attend the physicals that begin at 4:00 and have a parent come to the meeting at 5:00 pm. This will be a short question and answer session and we will pass out practice and workout training schedules at that time. We hope you will join us in welcoming Coach Norwood to the LCA family.

Greater Hall Chamber announces 2016-2017 class of Youth Leadership The Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce has released the names of students selected to participate in the next Youth Leadership Hall class.

We are so proud to announce that Lanier Christian Academy golf team are STATE CHAMPIONS!!! Woo hoo!!! Way to go LCA Lighting!!!

Here's some exciting info about LCA :) The golf team is adding another trophy to the trophy case! The team won the region tournament yesterday. They will fight hard to be state champions next Monday, April 25, at Jekyll island. Come cheer them on :)

I believe that God is doing GREAT things! We currently have 96 applicants for Lanier Christian Academy!!!! Our mission is all about the transforming of our children into Christ-centered, servant leaders who are spiritually, mentally, physically and socially fully devoted followers of Christ. Do you know someone that is looking for a school like that?? Invite them to our OPEN HOUSE on April 14th from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. The meeting will be held in the Children's Worship Center (enter the South Lobby) of Chestnut Mountain Church. Two great models, one great school...LANIER CHRISTIAN ACADEMY!

Here is a recent email from a parent with a student that came to shadow with us last week....

..she very much enjoyed her experience. She was thrilled when the math teacher prayed before the test and thanked God for her presence. She also loved the class discussion in English because, even though she is in honors English at Gainesville, the students don’t participate in discussions. Since Friday, she has popped up with other observations and comments about the inclusion of Christian values into discussions. As far as I’m concerned, this is where we really want her to be. We have pretty much completed the application except the gathering of documents. I’m guessing the next step is submitting the application and working out the details.
