One team! One community! One Hazelwood!

Yesterday at Convocation, HSD staff from across our schools and departments came together in person for the first time since 2019—and made a statement on the Central High football field by forming 1HSD.

Here’s to living out this school year’s motto: One HSD: Together We Thrive.

We had a great time at Convocation today! The entire district was together for the first time since 2019 and it was a blast. What a great way to kick off the year and show that we are One Hazelwood.

Hazelwood School District Families: Check Your Bus Route!

The 2026–2027 bus route information is now available in the My Ride K-12 app. Families are encouraged to log in now to review their student’s bus route and stop information and address any questions or concerns before the first day of school.

Routes are based on the address currently on file with the district.

Questions or concerns? Contact the Transportation Call Center at 314-953-5951.

(Please check periodically: Bus times may change as new students enroll. Continue checking your student’s stop time through the first day of school for updates.)

We would like to welcome Dr. Aleshea Jenkins, our new Assistant Principal to Townsend!!

It is with great pleasure that I introduce myself as the new Assistant Principal at Townsend Elementary School. I look forward to rejoining the Townsend Tiger Family and contributing to a safe, positive environment that leads to student achievement. I'm excited to begin this learning adventure with our staff, students, and families.

The 2026-2027 school year will be my 21st year in education and my 18th in HSD. As a Hazelwood School District alumnus, resident, and parent, I am committed to ensuring our district remains a premier learning environment for all students. My goal is to be a visible, supportive, and approachable leader to create an environment where students, families, and staff feel respected and valued. Whether it's celebrating successes, solving challenges together, or simply offering a listening ear, I want everyone to know that my door is always open.

I look forward to a successful school year as a Townsend Tiger!

If you haven’t gotten online to register for the 2026-2027 school year, please take a minute to complete it. We want to see everyone on the first day!

The Hazelwood School District is preparing for the 2026–2027 school year and encourages families to complete online registration early to help ensure a smooth start to the academic year.

Online registration is now open for all students. Families can log in to the Parent Portal to review and update student information, confirm enrollment, and complete all required registration steps.

To avoid enrollment delays, families are encouraged to complete registration by July 31, 2026.

Early registration helps the District finalize class rosters, plan transportation routes, ensure appropriate staffing levels, and prepare school resources for students. It also helps families avoid long wait times and last-minute registration issues.

Families are encouraged to log in to the Parent Portal and complete the process as soon as possible.

Mark your calendars! The Hazelwood School District's Back 2 School Fair is happening on Saturday, August 8, 2026!

Visit the high school in your corridor for an exciting day filled with community resources, live performances, local vendors, and opportunities to connect with familiar faces. Plus, FREE backpacks will be available while supplies last on a first-come, first-served basis.
