Today our nation is consecrated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Thank you to our shepherds, the successors of the Apostles, for entrusting our country to the God who loves us. "O blood and water which gushed forth from the heart of Jesus as a font of mercy for us, we trust in you."
Enjoy these reflections on our own Sacred Heart statue in the St. Augustine Chapel.

STUDENT SPOTLIGHT: Congratulations to Amanda Davis for completing her capstone project toward the MA Pastoral Theology program.
As a faith formation coordinator at a parish, she titled her project "Go Make Disciples: From Ministry to Everyday Life".
Inspired by St. John Paul II’s vision that catechesis leads people into intimacy with Jesus Christ, Amanda laid out a plan to form individuals as disciples, deepening their relationship with Him. The project explored how to share the faith in everyday life as parents, coworkers, students, and friends.

Madeline is finishing her first year as a high school theology teacher at her alma mater in Kansas! We are so proud of the way she has brought Christ to the center of her classroom. She simply exudes joy of the Gospel.
From her years studying theology and education at Benedictine College to earning her MA in Catholic Education at the Augustine Institute, her dream has been to educate the next generation to love and serve Christ with the whole of their lives.
Congratulations, Madeline! Wishing you every blessing as you enter year TWO! ✌️

Faith has been Dr. Christopher Mooney's deepest and longest interest in theology.
So much so that he wrote a book on it this year! Introducing "Augustine's Theology of Justification by Faith", published by Cambridge University Press.
An expert in Augustine's theological legacy, Mooney answers a question that Augustine wrestled with his whole life as a believer: What makes faith not just reasonable but virtuous, even righteous?
Written at a scholarly level, the book nonetheless addresses the very heart of what it means to be a Christian.
Congratulations, professor!

Meet our youngest graduate, little Auggy!
But actually: Congratulations to his father, James Gillis, who graduated a few weeks back with his Master of Arts in Biblical Studies. James and his family are headed up to Wisconsin to begin a new path of study. We are so proud of James for his acceptance into Marquette University's Ph.D. in Religious Studies program.
We wish the Gillis family every grace and blessing as they land in Brew City!
