We said NO.

Not because we didn’t need the support.

Not because a large donation wouldn’t make a difference.

We said no because the requirement was to provide our seniors’ and veterans’ information as leads.

Their information is NOT FOR SALE.

We chose to protect the people who trust us—even if it meant walking away from the money.

And we would make that same decision again.

So we want to know:

Would you have said NO too?

Reality check: 💙

A nonprofit does not mean everything is free.

Every free community event still requires rent, utilities, insurance, staff, supplies, marketing, equipment, and countless hours behind the scenes. Grants and donations help, but they rarely cover everything.

That's why many nonprofits earn revenue through classes, products, sponsorships, fundraising, and services. We don't earn revenue to create profit for owners—we earn revenue to keep our mission alive and continue serving our communities.

The next time you support a nonprofit by buying a ticket, purchasing a product, or making a donation, know that you're helping create more opportunities for someone else.

A sustainable nonprofit can serve more people than a struggling one.

POV: The board said balloons weren’t in the budget… so Amazon and YouTube University stepped in. 😂🎈

A few popped balloons, one emotional breakdown, and 3 hours later… we kinda made it happen! 🤣👏🏽
