Our annual fundraiser at Hurns was BEYOND amazing! Thank you Jennifer Hurns for allowing us to return another year to help promote the HBCU legacy and helping shape the future of St. Louis Metropolitan scholars! We hope you are all doing well and enjoyed the holiday season. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Our break is over and it’s now time to get back to HBCU business here in St. Louis. Our next general body meeting will be held virtually in an effort to garner more attendance. Please join us via Zoom on Thursday, January 22, 2026 at 6:00 pm. See the flyer below. We will discuss our open leadership opportunities, membership and our 9th Annual Scholarship Summit.

As we are in a new year, please commit or re-commit to the Association through active involvement. We are excited to announce our 8th Annual Scholarship Summit taking place on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at McCluer North High School located at 705 Waterford Dr, Florissant, MO 63033 from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm. See the attached official event flyer. As you know, the purpose of the summit is to equip St. Louis metropolitan students and parents with the knowledge and resources to obtain college scholarships and promote the HBCU legacy. The morning sessions include student and parent workshops. We will have a lunchtime rally with free food, entertainment, give-a-ways, and an HBCU and Greek roll call! Our afternoon sessions include an HBCU panel and a community fair with local vendors and HBCU Alumni ambassadors.

The Scholarship Summit is fun, free, educational, and open to the public. The pre-registration deadline is September 10, 2025, and there will be onsite registration until 9:00 am on the day of the event. You can register and learn more about St. Louis HBCU Alumni Association (STLHBCUAA) by visiting our website at https://www.stlhbcualumni.org. It’s that time of year again! The St. Louis HBCU Alumni Association will host the 2025 Membership Drive at DJs Social Club Bar located at 5854 Delmar Blvd, St. Louis, MO 63112 on Thursday, July 17, 2025, from 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm.

We are encouraging members to join or rejoin the Association so we can continue our mission of promoting the HBCU legacy, raising scholarship awareness, participating in civic and social activities and reclaiming and engaging HBCU alumni.

During the Membership Drive we will have an HBCU Roll Call, Member Spotlights and a Spirit Basket Raffle! Come out and network with HBCU Alumni and supporters to kick off the summer and our 2025-2026 fiscal year! We hope to see you there!
