We are so excited to welcome our families to Brown Elementary for our Meet the Teacher and Open House tonight! Come meet our dedicated teachers and staff, see the classrooms, and learn important information for the upcoming school year. 🍎✏️

Evening Schedule:
•6:00–6:20 p.m. – School-wide informational meeting in the gymnasium
•6:20–8:00 p.m. – Classroom visits and teacher meet-and-greet
•6:45–7:05 & 7:30–7:50 p.m. – Additional informational meetings for families

Note: Important school information will be shared during these sessions, so we strongly encourage all Brown families to attend one of the informational meetings!

Welcome Back, Brown Elementary Families! 🍎✨

The countdown to an incredible new school year is officially on!

Save the Date for the First Day of School: Monday, August 24th!

We are looking forward to another year of learning, growth, and achievement. Together, we will make this our best year yet! Partnership and support from our families are the keys to building success together.

Here are the key details to help you prepare:

School Hours:
•8:50 a.m. - 3:50 p.m.

Daily Morning Timeline:
•8:30 a.m. - Doors Open for Breakfast
•8:40 a.m. - Students May Enter Classrooms
•8:50 a.m. - Instruction Begins (Promptly!)

Our goal is for every student to be seated and ready to learn by 8:50 a.m. ⏰ Regular attendance and punctuality are essential for strong academic skills and positive relationships.

Please allow extra time for morning traffic during drop-off to ensure a stress-free start to the day. Reminder: Students arriving after 8:50 a.m. will be marked tardy.

Breakfast and lunch are FREE for all students! However, we still ask all families to complete the Free/Reduced Lunch application. This application helps the district and community qualify for many other beneficial programs. If you haven’t applied yet, here is the online link: https://www.myschoolapps.com

The Hazelwood School District invites all students, families, and community members to our Back 2 School Fair on Saturday, August 8, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Join us at Hazelwood Central High School (15875 New Halls Ferry Road, Florissant, MO 63031) for a morning of community resources, live performances, local vendors, and opportunities to connect with district staff and community partners. Free backpacks will be available while supplies last on a first-come, first-served basis.

We extend our sincere appreciation to our community partners for their generous support in providing backpacks and school supplies for Hazelwood students.

📚🍎 Calling all parents and community members! 📚🍎

Our students thrive when we come together to support them. The Hazelwood School District is currently looking for volunteers to become HSD Reading Heroes, and we would love to see our school community get involved!

By dedicating just 30 minutes a week, you can help a child discover a lifelong love of reading. Absolutely no experience is necessary—the district provides all the training and materials you need to succeed.

We’ll be discussing this wonderful opportunity in more detail at our upcoming literacy event at 8:30 AM, but you don’t have to wait to get started!

We are taking a moment to remember the brave men and women who have served our country. We hope everyone has a meaningful and peaceful long weekend with their loved ones.

As we look towards the final stretch of the school year, please note the following schedule changes:
•Monday, May 25, 2026: No School (Memorial Day observed) 🚫🏫
•Tuesday, May 26, 2026: Last Day of School for the 2025-2026 academic year! 🔔
•Dismissal Time: All students will be dismissed at 11:50 AM on Tuesday. Please ensure arrangements are made for timely pickup.
