One day, you’ll miss hearing about their “BEST FRIEND” 47 times before breakfast. ❤️
Those little childhood friendships may look like playground games, snack sharing, sidewalk chalk and enormous hugs…
But underneath all that play, children are practicing some of the most important relationship skills they’ll ever learn.
They’re figuring out how to take turns.
How to speak up.
How to notice someone else’s feelings.
How to handle disagreements.
How to make up after someone gets mad.
How to include someone.
And how it feels to belong.
And sometimes, as parents, we don’t need to rush in and solve every tiny friendship problem.
We can stay close, help when they truly need us, and give them room to practice being a friend.
Because today it might just look like three little kids wrapped up in a giant hug.
But they’re learning how to love people outside their family. 🥹
And that’s a pretty big thing happening in a very little moment.
Who was your child’s very first best friend… and are they still friends today? ❤️
