Carrizo/Comecrudo Tribe of Texas

Carrizo/Comecrudo Tribe of Texas We the Estok Gna/ Carrizo Comecrudo Tribe of Texas are the original people of the Rio Grande Delta. W

Origination: The Carrizo/Comecrudo-Estok Gna place themselves in Texas prior to any other tribe that has arrived, migrated, or was displaced into Texas a land we call Somi-Sek thousands of years before outside contact. Our oral traditions tell us who we are and the recorded history of Texas places us as the aboriginal and autochthonous people of Texas for a minimum of seven centuries. Historical Account: First Contact with Europeans and Carrizo/Comecrudo was when the Governor of Bermuda sent boats to find the Rio Grande River in circa 1512. Culture: The Carrizo/Comecrudo are the Hokam speaking people of the Texas/Mexico Rio Grand Delta and surrounding area. On Page 145 of the John Swanton Bulletin 127 publication that can be found at the Smithsonian, it identifies the Comecrudan Dialect being the resident language even after the two migrations of the Uto Aztecan from the north and the Athabascan from the South. Historic Accounts: Book cited research includes: “Peyote Cult” by Weston Labarre, and “Peyote Religion” by Omar Stewart in which the Carrizo/Comecrudo are described as the "one"s that helped in maintaining and preserving identities through the introduction of peyote to other Nations.

We are not Coahuiltecan our languagte is Uto-Taoan of hokom language. We do do not let Missionary Boss Rule tell us who we are. WE ARE ESTO’K GNA THE AUTOCHTHONOUS PEOPLES OF SOMI SE’K. Not even the displaced colonized brainwashed natives who are listening to rotting religions and false solutions of idiotic immigrants from European Descent. Displacement of people is racist attitudes of tribal erasure Somi Se’k genocide. You are used to implement BOSS RULE on others, while you make the plantation owner comfortable
