We know the calendar says fall, but it sure doesn’t feel like it!

At Floresville ISD, we pay close attention to the Wet Bulb Globe Temperature, or WBGT, before students head outside. WBGT considers temperature, humidity, wind and direct sunlight to give us a more complete picture of how the heat may affect the body.

FISD uses the Perry Weather Alert System to monitor conditions and guide decisions about outdoor activities. While WBGT requirements apply to UIL outdoor athletics and marching band, we follow the same safety standards for all outdoor student activities, including recess, PE, cheer, dance, ROTC, and field days.

When conditions call for it, outdoor activities may be adjusted, shortened, or moved indoors. The calendar may say fall, but Texas weather has other ideas, and keeping our students and staff safe remains our priority!

The future of Floresville Cheer is bright! 📣❤️ Mini cheerleaders from kindergarten through fifth grade from across the district joined the FHS Cheer team for Mini Cheer Camp, where they learned new cheers, practiced their moves, and showed off plenty of Floresville spirit!

A safe school starts with speaking up.

Floresville ISD uses STOPit, an anonymous reporting tool that allows students, families and staff to share concerns about bullying, harassment, threats, unsafe behavior or someone who may need help.

Reports can be submitted privately through the STOPit app or website and are reviewed by the appropriate district personnel. Even when you are unsure whether something is serious, it is always better to share the concern so we can help.

STOPit should not be used for emergencies. If there is an immediate threat or danger, please call 911.
