🔤✨ What’s in a Name? A Whole Lot of Homecoming Spirit! ✨🔤

Today’s Homecoming Week challenge was to dress like something that starts with the first letter of your name, and our FSE students got creative! 🐾💙

We spotted nurses, athletes, animals, princesses, and SO much more walking our halls today! From clever ideas to fantastic costumes, it was so much fun seeing how everyone brought the theme to life. 👑🥋🐾🩺

We love seeing our students and staff showing their creativity and making Homecoming Week so much fun!

🎉 Homecoming Week is off to a CRAZY start at FSE! 🎉

Today’s dress-up theme was Crazy Hair & Crazy Socks, and our Tigers definitely understood the assignment! 🤪🧦💇‍♀️

From wild hairstyles to colorful, mismatched socks, our students brought plenty of creativity, smiles, and school spirit to FSE today! 💙🐾

We love seeing everyone join in the Homecoming fun! 🌟 Stay tuned for more spirit week excitement all week long! 🎉

📚❤️ Learning Sounds, Building Readers! ❤️📚

Mrs. Jimenez’s small group had some fun while building their reading skills this week! Students used sound boxes to stretch out words, identify individual sounds, match those sounds to letters, and then put it all together to read the words! 🔤📖

These hands-on activities help our young readers build the important foundational skills they need to become confident, successful readers. 🌟

We love seeing our FSE students learning, growing, and having fun along the way! 🥰📚

🌟 Following Expectations Pays Off! 🌟

Mrs. Chavarria’s kindergarten friends have been working hard to follow their classroom expectations, and that hard work earned them a special reward—five extra minutes of recess! 🎉🛝

We’re so proud of these little Tigers and Jaguars for making great choices, working together, and showing what it looks like to be responsible learners. Keep up the awesome work, kindergarten! 🐾🌟

🧠✏️ Mathematicians on the Move! ➗✖️

Mrs Flores’ 5th grade students took their math learning beyond their desks as they worked in groups to solve word problems and explain their thinking to one another!

Using the UPS Check strategy — Understand, Plan, Solve, Check — students practiced breaking apart multi-step problems, deciding what information was important, and determining which operations were needed. Rather than simply looking for “keywords,” they learned to think about the whole situation and make sense of what the problem was actually asking them to solve. 💡

The best part? Students weren’t just finding answers—they were talking about their thinking, explaining their strategies, and learning from one another! 🌟

That’s what building confident problem solvers is all about! 💙📚

💙 There’s nothing like a little FHS spirit to start our Friday! 📣🏈🏐

Our morning carline had some familiar smiling faces today as FHS athletes and cheerleaders joined us once again to welcome our students to school! Their high-fives, waves, cheers, and enthusiasm helped start the day with plenty of positive energy. 🌟

Our FSE students love seeing the “big kids” on Friday mornings, and we love watching our FHS students take the time to encourage and connect with our younger Jaguars. 🐾💙
