The Florence Academy of Fine Arts Dance Program teaches dance as an art form through which movement communicates meaning and understanding.

Students receive quality artistic training in various dance forms such as ballet, modern, and jazz. They will have diversified units of study focused on, but not limited to, choreography, improvisation, and site specific work. Students will learn how to apply critical and creative thinking skills to their movement and how culture and history have affected the different dance genres.

Yesterday, I had the opportunity to meet with Florence Academy of Fine Arts Dance Company about their upcoming fundraising project benefiting Saving Grace: We Hear You!

As a former FAFA dancer, having the organization that played such a meaningful role in my life now supporting the mission I’ve built is incredibly special.

I can’t wait to watch their performance and help fundraise on October 22nd!

Thank you to FAFA Dance Co. and Mr. Kiel for using your platform to help raise awareness and make an impact for children in our community. I’m so grateful to have you in the Saving Grace family! 💙

We are so proud of FAFA Dance Co. Senior Annette for being selected to be on the inaugural board of the Youth Arts Collective for the state of Alabama! She is one of 15 students selected from across the state to advocate for the future of arts education. She will attend regular board meetings and be the voice for Florence City Schools and Northwest Alabama! We are excited to have one of our own in this leadership role!
