We are pleased to announce the recipient of our Fall 2026 IDS 450 Capstone Scholarship, Alisha Kelly!

In the capstone research course, Alisha will seek to explore how effective artist management and marketing strategies contribute to long-term career sustainability in the entertainment industry. The topic is personal to her as it reflects the work she hopes to perform professionally - guiding artists, helping them build authentic brands, and supporting their growth in a competitive and constantly evolving environment. She stated, "My research will examine how managers and marketing teams use interdisciplinary tools such as digital analytics, narrative branding, cross-platform promotion, and audience segmentation to shape an artist's public identity. I am especially interested in how these strategies influence not only short-term viability but also logn-term stability, emotional connection with fans, and the adaptation to industry shifts."

Alisha has been an excellent student to work with! She is passionate about working with artists and helping them achieve their goals. Please help us congratulate her on her success thus far!

We're excited to share that we had not one but TWO Keller Key recipients recognized during our summer commencement ceremony! 🎉 Please join us in congratulating Interdisciplinary Studies students Summer Land and Logan Smith on this outstanding achievement! 🏅

The Keller Key award was established as a memorial to the late President James Albert and Mrs. Mariglen Keller. A Keller Key is presented at each commencement to the honor graduate who, based on having earned all credits for the bachelor’s degree at this University, has achieved the highest grade point average = 4.0. Maintaining a perfect GPA from the first day of classes through graduation is a rare accomplishment that reflects countless hours of hard work, discipline, and determination.

Meet Alyssa! ✨ After two years as an undecided student, she discovered UNA's undergraduate IDS program - and everything changed.

She stated, "Through this unique course of study, I've been able to learn a wide variety of subjects that suit my interests, gain confidence in my course of study, and make connections that I would have never made otherwise. I am very grateful that I found a course of action that is right for me."

Alyssa has proven herself to be an excellent student and has taken on several leadership roles throughout her undergraduate education. She's currently on track to graduate next year with a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies with an Emphasis in Arts, an Emphasis in Humanities, a Level II Certificate in Graphic Design, a Minor in Black Studies, and is also incorporating graduate-level work through our Accelerated Masters Program. That'll help fill a resume for sure!
