Philip Jackson is an art professor at Ole Miss. Jackson’s work will be on view at the Gallery 126 in downtown Florence until March 17! Join us for a Gallery Talk with Philip Jackson on March 17 at 1pm to learn more about his work.

Say it Loud, work by Ransome, is on view at the Elaine Bailey Augustine Art Gallery located on the second floor of UNA’s Visual Arts Buidling. The gallery is open Mon-Fri, 8:30-4:30 so be sure to stop by to see this exhibition! The exhibition will be on view until March 10. The University of North Alabama Lights and Shadows Art Competition is a competition we have for our art students here at UNA. Students who are taking any of the art courses offered by the Visual Arts and Design Department are encouraged to submit their strongest artworks. With a wide variety of subject matters and mediums that students could submit, the 2021 Lights and Shadows received 158 entries with 37 works of art selected for the exhibition. This exhibition was juried by a professional artist and the winners were selected by the students who submitted work. Congratulations to the following students!

Find this awesome mural at the Mitchell West Center for Social Inclusion at UNA. Painted during the summer by art students and their mentor, this mural uniquely uses typography on a large scale.

Hey Everyone! Visit us at UNA. We are preparing to present artworks by the late Professor Ron Shady at the Elaine Bailey Augustine Gallery (the former University Arts Gallery). Ron taught with us from 1979 to 2012.
