Join us on September 24 at 6:00 PM for our first Title I Parent University Session. Dinner will be served from 6:00-6:30PM. There will be activities for children as well. The first session will inform parents about the best strategies to utilize to support students with homework, our new social emotional learning initiative, and the best way to utilize our school's communication platforms. Learning Comes to Life in 2nd Grade!

Our second-grade Swamp Foxes got creative while learning all about landforms! Students used modeling clay and paint to design and create their very own landforms, bringing their science learning to life in a hands-on way.

Learning Intention:
We are learning about the landforms and bodies of water that make up Earth’s surface.

Success Criteria:
✨ I can identify different landforms and describe their characteristics.
✨ I can create a model that represents a landform.

From mountains and valleys to islands and volcanoes, our students showed that science isn’t just something we read about—it’s something we can create, explore, and explain!

Way to go, 2nd Grade Swamp Foxes! We love seeing you learning by doing!

We are so excited to host our annual Bingo Night this evening from 5:30PM-7:00PM. Please see the following reminders:

-Bingo Night will take place in the gym. Please park near the gym as the front will be for Extended Day pick-up only.
-Bingo night participants will only be admitted through the gym doors, not the front.
-Doors will open at 5:15PM.

FOUR Moai TRIBES. ONE SCHOOL. ONE WALLACE GREGG WAY!

Last Friday was a day to remember at Wallace Gregg Elementary as we officially revealed our students’ houses during our exciting House Sorting Ceremony!

As part of our Blue Zones initiative, we are building a school culture centered around academic achievement, social and emotional health, inclusivity, and overall well-being.

Our four tribes or houses represent different strengths and characteristics, and each house has its own colors, logo, animal, crest, and unique characteristics.Students in grades 1–5 were selected for their houses based on their most notable characteristics—because every child has a special gift to share!

The excitement was REAL as students discovered which house they would call home for the school year!

A HUGE SHOUTOUT to the Francis Marion University Women’s Basketball Teamfor helping us facilitate such a memorable ceremony and bringing so much energy to the celebration!

And this is only the beginning! Throughout the year, our houses will compete to earn points for:
Academic achievement
Attendance
Acts of kindness
Positive choices
…and MORE!

At the end of the year, the house with the most points will be crowned HOUSE OF THE YEAR!
