What a performance from our students at the Fuji Cincinnati on Saturday. The most notable improvement is that the same students who competed prior to this tournament, ALL improved in skill level, determination and outcome! We came in with 16 Students, placed 4th place Kids Academy, and left with 4 Gold, 11 Silver, and 4 Bronze! The competition was tough, other schools came in ready to work, but can truly say that we are so proud of every single student who came out to demonstrate there determination, grit, heart, and technique!

Excuse the large post! We just cannot be more proud of our students. They make our jobs easy by being very coachable, and positive during training or competition!

Tonight was a special one on the mats! We had the privilege of welcoming Professor Gino, 3rd Degree Black Belt, all the way from California to train with us. Jiu-Jitsu has a way of connecting people from different places, backgrounds, and academies through one shared passion.

We took 8 students to the Grappling Industries Cincinnati tournament on Saturday and they definitely showed up ready to get there rounds. We earned 5th place Kids Academy with 3 Gold, 4 Silver and 4 Bronze medals! Even though we had some bracketing hiccups, we appreciate everyone who showed up ready, and showed up to support!

What makes us most proud is the hard work, discipline, courage, and sportsmanship these students displayed. Some walked away as gold medalist. Some came up just short. Every single one walked away better than they were when they stepped on the mat.

Special shout out for a solid assistant coach, Connor, during No-Gi! His commitment to the gym shows, through his consistency and wanting to take on additional responsibilities of helping coach! We appreciate the assistance for our kids No-Gi program!
