Friday we were fortunate to continue the wonderful community partnership with our backyard neighbor Loreal for their annual give back day. 200 plus volunteers came out to do various projects to improve our building and get ready for the new school year. We couldn't be more grateful for the hard work that they do and look forward to continuing to work with them in the future! 💚💛

Parents! Tomorrow backpacks will be available at the YSC table in the cafeteria. This will be 1 per student that attends Jones Middle School only. We have returning programs as well as some new programs for the 26-27 school year. Club sign ups, weekend food bags and other information will be available at the table. Incoming 6th Grade Parents. Reminder that Monday we will be having our Transition Night Event hosted by Skool Aid at Jones Middle School. This event is a fun filled night that is aimed at welcoming our new students with games, food and prizes. Doors will open at 5 with food being served. Event will start at 5:30!

Parents and Guardians, please see full message! Starting this week up until 8/13 the Jones YSC will be hosting a clothing free sale for any that are interested or need clothes for school. The center has items both new and used that we are cutting down on for the year. Items include shirts, pants, jackets and shoes. We will also have left over summer food boxes for anyone that would like to collect as well. Attached is a flyer with details for times of operation. There is no sign up necessary just come to the front office and they will direct you where to go. The first day will begin tomorrow at 12:30 and run until 2:30. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday we will have 2 sessions from 10-12 and 1-230. For more questions contact Jones Middle School and ask for Mr. Clark. Limited to 6 items per family.

Good Morning! Starting today Jones YSC has a new addition to the school grounds. The Jones Snack Shack is officially open for use. Students who are out in the area or would like a refuel snack is free to take an item or two to fuel up for outdoor activities! 💚💛

Spring has sprung and the garden for Blooms & Bites has been planted! We’ve had incredible success with our strawberries this spring and we have new plants to try for the year! Once we are in full bloom we will begin sharing with the community to support our program for the next school year! Below is a list of some of our crops we hope to have this seasons. 💚💛 🍅 🍠 🌶️

Our Blooms and Bites group welcomed the wonderful Hope and Hope from Oh She Built That to build our own small personal planter boxes! Students learned about power tool safety and usage while preparing their boxes for the next project of growing their own items at home. Students will paint and plant later this week! 🪴 💚💛
