Yesterday was our Passing the Light, a beautiful ceremony where our 8th graders pass the light of leadership on to the 7th grade class. This was also the final all-school Mass for our 8th graders, and it was incredibly special to celebrate together one last time as a school family. 🕯💛

Their leadership, example, and spirit have helped guide our school year, and we know they will continue to shine as they continue their journey.

Today, our 2nd grade students led school Mass for the very first time and what a beautiful last Mass of the school year! From the readings to the songs, they led with such joy, reverence, and confidence. It was a special milestone for them and a special moment for our entire school family to witness.

We are so proud of this sweet class! 🙏🤍

Today, we celebrated our annual May Crowning Mass, led by our 8th graders. Students brought flowers in procession to honor Mary, filling the church with so much beauty and reverence.

It’s always such a special liturgy for our school community and a wonderful reminder of faith, tradition, and the example of Mary’s love and grace. Thank you to our 8th graders for leading today’s Mass so beautifully.

Our 3rd–8th grade Sports Banquet was last night. We recognized our athletes in basketball, volleyball, tennis, cheerleading, and cross country.

From practices to game days and meets, these students represented our school with heart and determination. We are so proud of their growth not just as athletes, but as teammates and leaders.

A big thank you to our coaches, families, and supporters who make it all possible.

Congratulations to all of our athletes on an incredible year! Go Jaguars! 🐆🐾

A note from Mrs. Bandstra:

"What a joyful and beautiful weekend with our performance of The Lion King Jr.! We are so grateful to God for the many blessings that made it such a fun and successful production. To God be all the glory.

The story reminds us of an important truth in our Catholic faith: like Simba, we are called to remember who we are—beloved children of God—with a purpose to live with courage, responsibility, and love for others. It was inspiring to see our students bring these themes to life on stage.

Experiences like this are also a powerful reminder of how important the arts are in our schools. Through music, theater, and creativity, children grow in confidence, teamwork, discipline, and joy, developing the gifts God has given them.

So proud of our amazing students and grateful for a wonderful weekend! Thanks to all who made this production possible!"

It has been great walking through classrooms this week and seeing students enjoying all of the special activities that were taking place for Read Across America Week. Today was the end of our celebration, and all of our students enjoyed character dress up day and buddy reading time. 💙📚

Today, we celebrate and thank the incredible School Resource Officers who serve our campus. We are blessed by their dedication, protection, and steady presence each and every day.

Our SROs do far more than ensure safety. They build relationships, mentor students, offer guidance, and provide a calm and reassuring presence on campus. They take the time to learn our students’ names, listen to their stories, and support them through both challenges and successes.

We are deeply grateful for the commitment, care, and protection they provide to our school community!

We kicked off the St. Joseph Winter Olympics this week, and the excitement is already building! From trivia battles to speed skating (aka cup stacking) and curling (bean bag toss style), our students are all in.

All students have been split into six teams, proudly led by our 8th graders, showing leadership, teamwork, and a whole lot of team spirit.

Let the friendly competition begin!
