🌟Meet our ELL & ESS team, Mrs. Callahan, Mrs. Castillo, Mrs. Drazkowski, Mrs. San, Ms. Aguilar, and Ms. Madsen!

🍎 Mrs. Callahan is our ELL teacher. This is her 33rd year teaching, and her 20th year teaching for FUSD. She loves to read, bake, and cook. She really loves The Peanuts (just stop by her ELL classroom and you can see just how much she loves Snoopy!)

🍎Mrs. Castillo is our ESS teacher for Kinder, 2nd, and 3rd grade. She is so excited to be joining the resource team this year at Florence Elementary! She is a proud Sun Devil (ASU all the way!) with a background in early childhood special education. She loves helping students grow, build confidence, and celebrate every win, big or small! When she is not at school, you can usually find her hanging out with her husband, our their four awesome daughters, and sweet dachshund puppy, Kali. She also loves exploring local coffee shops and getting lost in a good book! She is looking forward to a fantastic year ✨

🍎 Mrs. Drazkowski is our ESS teacher for 1st and 4th grade. She lives in Florence with her husband Richard, they have two boys Michael and Matthew, and one granddaughter Makayla. She is very happy to be working at Florence Elementary. ♥️

🍎Mrs. Santharaj is our ESS teacher for 5th and 6th grade. Her students know her as Ms. San. She teaches reading, writing, mathematics, social-emotional learning, and behavioral skills. She has 29 years of experience in special education, but she is completing her 12th year at FES. She is enthusiastic about the opportunities this school year will bring.

🍎Ms. Aguilar is our Cross-Cat teacher for K-3rd grade. She has been teaching in Arizona for 10 years. She has experience working with kindergarten students and as a behavioral coach. She recently earned her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education K-8 from Grand Canyon University 🙌🏻 and is currently continuing her education in Special Education. She enjoys working with students and helping them grow academically, socially, and emotionally. She also enjoys traveling and hiking when she has time.

Upcoming PTO Meeting!!!

Join us on September 2nd at 6pm at the Florence K-6 School, Home of the Gophers cafeteria to find out about the fundraisers we have planned, come up with ideas to enhance the school year for the students, and make any suggestions you might have!

We invite all teachers and parents to attend; and please note that while we will have a sign up sheet, there is no pressure to sign up! We will have a sheet for parents who wish to only donate for occasions such as teacher appreciation week, parents who want to volunteer, and those who wish to attend meetings and be more involved!
