It’s always a good idea to verify your polling place before heading out to vote. Runoff election is August 25, with early voting August 19-21.

Polling places can change for a variety of reasons, including building availability, construction or accessibility needs.

That’s why it’s always a good idea to confirm your polling place before every election—even if you’ve voted at the same location before.

Check your polling place anytime at scVOTES.gov.

Some pictures from our Be Election Ready event at the Florence County Election office. We each received a Poll Manager handbook that contains all the regulations and law governing elections in our state. Then we had a lively discussion about the scvotes.gov website, where you can find sample ballots and polling locations.

In our state, "Motor Voter" registration is still in effect, with updates arriving regularly from the DMV. If you move within or into the state -- CHECK THE BOX to update your registration.

When registering online, you will receive a voter card in the mail so watch for that. If you would like a Voter ID made with your picture to use when voting, you can obtain one FREE at the election office.

Displayed in the office are Principles of Election/Registration. We learned every poll worker takes an oath to follow the laws of the state and federal constitution.

We toured the addition being constructed that will contain a training room and a larger warehouse for Florence County. And, importantly, MORE parking!

Eligible voters can cast their ballots August 5-7 from 8:30am to 5pm at designated early voting centers.

The League of Women Voters of Florence Area was pleased to host a voter registration table during the AME 2026 Summer Summit at the Florence Civic Center.

We registered two future South Carolina voters who will turn 18 on or before the November 2026 election - new defenders of democracy!

Grateful to the Seventh Episcopal District's leadership for the invitation and to our dedicated volunteers for showing up with purpose.
