South Florence High School

On August 4th, an electronic form was emailed to the parents and guardians of F1S Seniors who did not take a state-funded ACT or SAT last year.

To participate in make-up testing, forms must be submitted electronically or turned in to your child’s School Guidance Department by August 10th.

Parents, please be aware that only approved individuals listed in a student’s PowerSchool account can sign out a student. If a person is not listed in PowerSchool, the student will not be released to them.

If you need to add someone to PowerSchool, the parent or guardian of the child must come to the school in person to complete a Contact Update Sheet and present their ID/driver's license/US Passport. We cannot take copies or pictures of identification cards. Once that is complete, our Data Manager will add the person as an approved sign-out contact on the student's PowerSchool profile.

Please note: For security purposes, we will not add anyone to PowerSchool via email or phone call.

Can’t make the meeting? No worries! Meeting notes and important information will be shared afterward so everyone stays informed.

This is the beginning of your final year as a Bruin; let’s make it one to remember! We can’t wait to see the Class of 2027 there!

She earned her teaching degree in Venezuela and holds a Master’s Degree in Teaching English as a Foreign Language. Mrs. Marcano is known for her creative, hands-on approach to learning and for creating engaging, collaborative classroom experiences.
