🌱 There’s something pretty special growing in our courtyard!
Our Botany students are doing far more than planting flowers—they’re identifying native species, researching ecological relationships, designing and planning garden beds, propagating plants, and transforming their ideas into living spaces right here on our campus.
Through this hands-on work, students are developing a deeper understanding of biodiversity, native ecosystems, habitat restoration, sustainability, and environmental stewardship—while learning that science doesn’t always happen behind a lab table. Sometimes, it happens with your hands in the soil. 🌿
What makes this project especially meaningful is that the students are the architects of it. They are making observations, solving problems, collaborating, nurturing new growth, and watching their work take root—literally.
And a special shout-out to Mrs. Black, our principal, for getting right in there with our students and getting her hands dirty! 👏🌱 Her willingness to jump into the work alongside them is such a wonderful example of what it looks like when a school community invests in students and their ideas.
We’re not just growing a garden. We’re cultivating curiosity, stewardship, scientific thinking, and a sense of belonging—one native plant at a time. 💚🌎
