This week is National Assistant Principals Week. We are very thankful to have one of the very best at our school! Ms. Melanie Garand works incredibly hard to help Lester Elementary run smoothly day to day!

We are excited about our new digital sign! 🥳

Wilson varsity basketball players came to read with our students today. They also played games such as Heads Up Seven Up. Our students were all star-struck to meet the state champs!

Congratulations to our Staff Member of the Week Chrissy Smith. Mrs. Smith is one of our awesome 3rd grade teachers. Mrs. Smith always has a positive attitude and a huge smile on her face. She creates a loving environment in her classroom that helps her students thrive. We are so thankful to have Mrs. Smith as part of our Lester family!

Third grade students in Mrs. Smith's class have been learning about circuits. They reviewed this skill by building digital circuits.

Fourth grade students in Mrs. Williamson's class have been learning about the phases of the moon. They had a lot of fun practicing this skill today with Oreos!

Who doesn't love pizza? Third grade students in Mrs. Leaphart's class used real life pizza example to explore fractions. Students worked in groups to order and compare.

Congratulations to our Staff Member of the Week Mrs. Kelley Tanner. Mrs. Tanner is Lester's fifth grade math teacher. She makes math fun and engaging. Mrs. Tanner also makes sure our Aftercare Program at Lester is running smoothly. She is a team player who puts forth the effort to help students, fellow staff members, and our entire school. We are so thankful that Mrs. Tanner selected Lester as her home.
