Congratulations to Luke Jones! 🎉

Luke Jones, a senior at Shoals Christian School, has been selected as the Shoals Scholar Dollars Nominee for Student of the Year!

Luke served as drum major this year and is also a member of our concert band and percussion ensemble. He also participates in school and community drama, serves as an SCS Ambassador, and is a member of National Honor Society, National Spanish Honor Society, and Tri-M Music Honor Society. Luke also gives back through the SCS Fire Squad Buddies mentoring program.

Luke plans to attend UNA and pursue a degree in Engineering. We are so proud of you, Luke!

Congratulations to SCS 8th grader Gentry Bilyeu for being recognized as a finalist in the Alabama Music Educators Young Composers Competition. Gentry also earned a spot in the Alabama All-State Middle School Jazz Band! Congratulations Gentry!

100 days smarter and aging like pros!

Last week, before the snow and ice kept us home, our SCS elementary students celebrated the 100th Day of School by dressing like 100-year-olds and they absolutely nailed it!

🤖🔥 Flames of Fury- Robotics Team in Action! 🔥🤖

The Shoals Christian Robotics Team had an outstanding showing at Bots on the Hill on January 10! With five teams competing, our students represented SCS with excellence, teamwork, and character.

🥈 One of our teams earned 2nd place in the Teamwork category, based on total points accumulated across all six matches.

🏆 Our middle school team was also honored with the Sportsmanship Award, a judges’ choice recognition for how well they worked with other teams and for their interviews with judges throughout the competition.
We are incredibly proud of our students for their hard work, leadership, and Christ-like character on and off the competition floor.

Shoals Christian Wrestling dominated at the Susan Moore Tournament last weekend, taking 1st place overall out of 14 competing teams (3A–6A)!

The Flame also brought home multiple podium finishes:

2nd Place — Clay King, Austin Jacks
3rd Place — Atlas Wells
4th Place — Jay White
5th Place —- CJ Alexander

Congratulations to the Girls Wrestling team for a job well done and the following podium finishes: 1st Place — Hope Jennings, 2nd Place — Ellie Grutzik and Je’Net Burt, 3rd Place — Anna Penny and Thaira Owens, 4th Place — Bree Randolph.

🔥 Flame Victory Night + Senior Night! 🔥

What a special night for Shoals Christian Varsity Basketball as we celebrated Senior Night and honored 5 incredible seniors and capped it off with two big Area wins over Cherokee!

🏀 Varsity Girls fought hard for a 48–43 victory�
🏀 Varsity Boys secured a strong 56–38 win

So proud of the leadership, heart, and legacy our seniors have poured into this program, and the way both teams rose to the moment. A night to remember! 🔥❤️
