Kappa Sigma UNA Official page for Kappa Sigma Fraternity at the University of North Alabama Want to get more from your college life? Kappa Sigma makes it happen.

At the heart of Kappa Sigma lie the Fraternity's Four Pillars, which guide our ambitions and underpin our successes. Striving for excellence in Fellowship, Leadership, Scholarship and Service produces Brothers who are involved in all aspects of campus life; who excel academically as students and professionally upon graduation; who develop lifelong bonds with those around them and who support those

peers; and who serve their colleges and communities. Becoming a Kappa Sigma provides the framework to build yourself into the man you want to be. Joining Kappa Sigma provides opportunities for fellowship, fun and personal growth that you simply can't get elsewhere. Over 230,000 men have joined and enjoyed the unmatched experiences, involvement and lifelong Brotherhood that Kappa Sigma offers. Kappa Sigma is no secret...our goal is to build better men. Take the lead. In Kappa Sigma, Brothers learn to get involved in their communities and take the lead when something needs to be done. Countless Brothers, including Senators, Governors and CEOs, have said Kappa Sigma gave them the leadership skills they needed to succeed. You're in college for an education. Kappa Sigma helps you excel in the classroom. From its earliest beginnings in Renaissance Italy, Kappa Sigma has existed to promote scholarship among its members. Nearly $300,000 is awarded each year by the Kappa Sigma Endowment Fund to Brothers who excel in scholarship and leadership. At the chapter level, Brothers help you learn about the campus, provide advice on professors and classes and help you study for those important assignments. Helping others is part of being a Kappa Sigma. Brothers spend thousands of hours working in their communities and raise thousands of dollars for worthy causes each year. From organizing park clean-ups to serving as Big Brothers to organizing charity rock concerts, Kappa Sigmas work hard for their causes. College is fun, but only service gives you the great feeling of knowing you've helped someone and made a difference.

Brothers,
On behalf of the Alumni Association, Housing Corporation, and Undergraduate Chapter, it is once again time for us to come together and invest in the future of Biddle Hall.
It has been a decade since our last major improvement project, and our chapter house is in need of significant upgrades, including exterior and interior doors, commodes, sinks, flooring, walls, ceilings, plumbing, electrical work, painting, and other essential repairs.
The undergraduates are already doing their part by repairing and painting walls and trim on the main floor, as well as cleaning the interior and exterior of the house in preparation for Fall Rush. The Alumni Association has also recently funded the removal and replacement of the landscaping, installed new outdoor lighting, and replaced the roof in 2024.
For those who have not been back to campus recently, Kappa Sigma is now front and center on fraternity row. University construction projects have opened up the surrounding areas, making Biddle Hall highly visible from numerous points across campus, especially from the new Bank Independent Stadium.

Our goal is to raise $25,000 by May 2027 so these improvements can be completed during the Summer and the house will be ready for Fall 2027. To help reach that goal, we are challenging 50 brothers to step forward with gifts of $500 each, which would fully fund the project.

However, our success is not dependent on $500 gifts alone. We recognize brothers are in different stages of life, and we welcome and appreciate contributions of any amount. Every dollar moves us closer to our goal, and a strong showing of support from across our brotherhood is just as important as the total amount raised. Whether you are able to give $500, $250, $100, or another amount that is meaningful to you, your participation will make a difference.

Brother Jay Hurt made the first contribution with a gift of $500, and I was honored to match his donation. We hope many others will join us and help build momentum for this campaign.

Your donations are tax-deductible when made through our account with the UNA Foundation, and you will also be recognized as a UNA donor. Jim Page and I continue to manage this account with the UNA Foundation to ensure the security and proper disbursement of all funds.

Below is the link to the UNA Foundation (UNA Advancement) donation page. I have also attached screenshots for reference.

IMPORTANT: You must select or enter "Kappa Sigma Lambda Omicron Capital Funds Campaign" in the "Make Your Selection" box. If this designation is not selected, the funds will not be deposited into our campaign account.

As always, I am happy to assist anyone with the donation process or even make the donation online on your behalf, as we did during the 50th Anniversary celebration. Please feel free to call, text, or email me with any questions.
