Dr. Michael D. Finkley is a speaker, author, and educator. Finkley is a native of Mullins, SC. Growing up from humble beginnings, Finkley appreciates the teachings of his mother and grandparents where his strength stemmed from his spiritual background.


Finkley is the Executive Director of The Finkley Experience; an educational consulting firm that specializes in FIRST GENERATION EDUCATION. We provide the following resources: counsels students to be successful within the college admissions process while in high school, trains secondary school administrators of best practices of how to support their first-generation population, and partners with colleges/universities in preparing their first-generation college students for an easy transition from high school to college. Finkley is the author of The Finkley Experience Educational College Set including publications for middle school, high school, and first year college students. Finkley has spoken and presented at many high schools, colleges including HARVARD UNIVERSITY, college-readiness organizations including TRIO and GEAR UP. The Finkley Experience is the 2022 Best At-Risk Pupil College Readiness Consultancy by Corporate Vision, recipient of the Allen University Educational Award, and honorary membership, National Technical Honor Society.



Along with his consulting firm, Finkley is the Host/Executive Producer of the Michael Finkley Show. Finkley's mother introduced him to the world of communications as a-then Disc Jockey. Ultimately, Finkley followed his mother's exact footsteps when he became a host of the 'I Love Mullins' radio series. The social media talk show is here to EDUCATE, INFORM, and INSPIRE. The show covers topics such as entertainment, education, politics, and more from everyday heroes to your favorite celebrities. Finkley has interviewed many with incredible stories, including BernNadette Stanis of Good Times, Anthony Dalton, II of Tyler Perry's Sistas (BET), Jameson DuBose, General Manager & Head of Programming of FOX SOUL, Grammy-Nominated Comedian, Lavell Crawford, and MORE! And has hosted several red carpet events including LIVE from the Stellar Awards. The show airs every Monday on YouTube, on the CTR Media Network, iHeartRadio, RokuTV.

Finkley holds a Bachelor of Arts in English (Allen University, Columbia, SC), Master of Education (K-12), Master of Science in Higher Education Administration (Southern New Hampshire University, Manchester, NH), and Doctor of Education, Christian Education, (The Holback Institute, Euless, Texas). Finkley is a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
