SpaceX launches all-civilian crew on Inspiration4 mission 09/16/2021

Sian Proctor, a geoscience professor for more than 20 years at South Mountain Community College in Phoenix, Arizona, and current Mentor-Connect mentee, made history yesterday as a member of the first all-civilian mission to launch to orbit and first Black female to pilot spacecraft with SpaceX launch.

SpaceX launches all-civilian crew on Inspiration4 mission The four-person crew, including a tech billionaire and a young cancer survivor, will spend three days in orbit to raise money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
