Get your tickets 🎫 So many great prizes!!

The PTO is having a calendar raffle during the month of March to raise money for 8th graders who need financial assistance to go on their class trip to Washington DC in the spring. With a drawing each day, a single ticket gives you 31 chances to win!

Tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20, and all sales are online. You can purchase them at this link: https://ticketstripe.com/JFKMiddleSchool or scan the QR code on the calendar.

Please share with friends, family, and neighbors, and look for the flyer coming home with your kid. Please also give a big thank you to the generous local businesses for their donations, and thank you for your support of our 8th grade students!

Pizza & drinks provided by the PTO. If you’d like, please bring a dessert or side to share (please label any allergens). Then, caregivers are invited to join us in the library for the first PTO meeting of the year!

All caregivers and JFK staff welcome. Students are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult.

We’ll be on the lawn in the front circle // in the event of rain, event will be held in the Cafetorium.

A Note from the (Amazing) JFK 6th Grade:

The 6th grade has been fundraising for Water for South Sudan to help “deliver sustainable quality-of-life services to and with the people of South Sudan by efficiently providing access to clean, safe water, and improving hygiene and sanitation practices in areas of great need.” This work is inspired by our study of Linda Sue Park's A Long Walk to Water. Over the past few years, we have raised enough money to help construct two new wells in remote areas of South Sudan.

Our goal this year is to raise $10,000.

Please join us for JFK's first ever Community Sing event on Wednesday, May 7th from 6-8 pm. Inspired by the one day choir events by Gaia Music Collective in NYC, this will be a chance to learn an a ca****la arrangement of a pop song in just one session. Mostly, it will be a chance to make music just for fun, as a community. This time, Ms. Iden and Ms. Caron will be teaching an arrangement of "I'm Yours" and "Over the Rainbow." All are welcome, including JFK students, alums, and any other community members. We hope to see you there!

Form links are in the comments for (1) financial assistance; (2) if your child has a Do NOT Photograph or Do NOT Publish in Aspen and you want your child to be in the yearbook; (3) for students who wish to have different name than the one in Aspen; and (4) for 8th graders to submit a memory of your years at JFK.

Students: Submit a drawing to be on the cover of the yearbook! All drawings should be submitted to Ms. Engebretson by MONDAY April, 28th.

For 8th Graders: 8th Grade Guess Who - Please email Ms. Engebretson a photo of your child as a baby (or young child) so they can participate in the “Guess Who” section of the yearbook.

REMINDER: Sell your calendar raffle tickets!! CHECK OUT these AMAZING prizes!!

JFK students received a packet with raffle tickets for our March calendar raffle, which will raise money to send students on the 8th grade trip to Washington DC.

Tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20, and need to be returned to school by Friday, February 28.

We want ALL students who want to go on this amazing trip to have the opportunity to do so. This fundraiser will help send students who would otherwise not be able to participate.
