We will be having a FCA night this Sunday, February 26th. It will be at Central Heights Baptist Church. We'll have a time of worship, along with some encouraging words (a former Central student who graduated a few years ago will be sharing her testimony). We will also have food, games, and giveaways as part of the night. This will begin at 6:00 PM. There will be a local church's praise band leading worship (many of the praise band members are current/former Central students). We hope to see you there!

Our church (Pleasant Hill) will be having a revival March 20-22, Friday night through Sunday morning, with a Saturday morning and evening session. The guest speaker will be Darian English and we’ll also have guests leading worship. We believe God is wanting to do something big in our community. All we have to do is obey and allow Him to work! This revival is for teens and adults, basically whoever wants to join us! Hope to see you there! God bless!
Long post ahead 😬 We watched this movie with the youth group tonight. I wish I would have gotten some pictures of the kids that were there. We had 21 kids there. We ate a lot of tacos, brownies, and ice cream and enjoyed a great movie. If you haven’t seen it you should watch it! And if you have teens they should take the time to watch it too. It really touches on many things that teens face today. I feel the main focus was on how teens feel socially. There are so many kids that feel alone, like an outcast, or like the “weird” kid. Most of these kids just want to feel acceptance and know someone cares about them. MANY teens suffer from anxiety and depression. I know there are teens who turn to alcohol, drugs, cutting, and for some, unfortunately, even su***de. I am sure we have all felt alone at some point in our lives. I know I have! Even still as an adult I struggle with feeling I don’t belong sometimes. But as an adult I can handle that and know how to let those things roll off. I pray that this movie will spark something in the our teens to make others feel accepted. To let them know they aren’t alone. That they do have a place. So what if a teen is different!!! Most of the time if you will take a minute to get to know someone you find out they are not that much different from you. And so what if someone thinks differently of you if they talk to the “weird” kid, the loners, or someone that doesn’t fit in their clique!!! Who knows - we could help save someone’s life just by being kind and showing them they aren’t alone! Please talk to the teens in your life about the importance of being kind and including others. Maybe God has plans to use them for a great purpose.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, our FCA fundraiser dinner for tomorrow night has been cancelled. We plan to reschedule for a later date. If you have already paid for tickets, I will give your money back to you. Thanks
Join us for our 2nd annual FCA fundraiser dinner August 17th at 6:30 at Pleasant Hill Church. Dinner will be spaghetti, rolls, dessert, and drink. Tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for students. Former University of Alabama football player Taylor Morton documents his journey through the mountains of pain in his life -- from dealing with the death of his brother, to being diagnosed with cancer, to being forced to walk away from football -- and the hope that helped him carry the sorrows that he could not understand. Taylor’s story is one of the most inspirational college football stories today. It will help you find hope, joy, and the strength to live with purpose, no matter what unfolds in life.
