Do you own a septic tank? Is it overdue to be pumped out? If so, you're eligible to be reimbursed through a statewide pump-out raffle program!

To enter the raffle,
1. Have your septic system pumped by a professional between September 14 and October 14
2. Email a copy of the pump-out invoice/receipt with your address to [email protected] or call 803-877-7388

Selected winners will receive a reimbursement check for their pump-out service.

Day 2 of Week: Don't Overload the Commode! Your toilet is not a trash can. Flushing wipes (even "flushable" ones), paper towels, medications, and other non-biodegradable items can clog pipes and overwhelm your system. Only flush human waste and toilet paper. epa.gov/septic

Some aquatic plants may look beautiful in a pond or water garden, but certain invasive aquatic plants are illegal to buy, sell or transport in South Carolina.

Plants including water hyacinth, hydrilla, water primrose, giant salvinia, Eurasian watermilfoil and crested floating heart are among the species.

Why does it matter? Invasive aquatic plants can spread rapidly, displace native species, interfere with recreation and navigation and negatively impact aquatic ecosystems. Prevention is one of the best ways to protect South Carolina’s waterways.
