✨ Leadership. Teamwork. Culture. Collaboration. ✨
Today, our Innovation Center CTSO Leadership Teams came together for a day focused on growing as leaders and preparing for an exciting year ahead!
🎤 Students were inspired by motivational speaker Austin Johnson, who challenged them to think about the importance of leadership, teamwork, and creating a positive culture within their organizations.
🤝 Students then put those ideas into action through engaging team-building activities designed to strengthen communication, collaboration, trust, and leadership skills.
🍕 After lunch together, each CTSO leadership team worked on planning their goals, activities, and events for the upcoming school year.
We are excited to see what these student leaders will accomplish this year! Our CTSOs are ready to LEAD, SERVE, and GROW! 💙

What better way to explore a career than to experience it?

For the past three days, Be Pro Be Proud has been at the Lauderdale County Innovation Center providing 10th and 11th grade students from several of our skilled trades programs with an immersive look at careers in the skilled trades.

Using state-of-the-art simulators and virtual reality experiences, students had the opportunity to experience scenarios involving:

• Truck driving
• Forklift operation
• Bucket truck operation
• Welding
• Excavator operation
• Advanced manufacturing
• Additional skilled trade and workplace scenarios

We are grateful to Be Pro Be Proud for bringing these innovative career exploration experiences to Lauderdale County and helping our students see the many possibilities available in the skilled trades.

A special thank-you to our student MVPs and Mrs. Cindy Davis, our Co-op Advisor, for helping our Career Coaches make this event a success. Their support and willingness to jump in and help made a difference over the past three days!

Experience a career. Discover a possibility. Build a future.

🌱 Careers for a Greener Tomorrow was a SUCCESS! 🌱

A special shout-out to our amazing 8th graders! They showed up ready to learn, explore, ask questions, and have some fun! We were so impressed with their enthusiasm and participation throughout the day.

Our 8th graders got to see that agriculture is about so much more than farming! 🚜🌾

Students spent the day exploring agriculture, conservation, natural resources, environmental science, forestry, food production, agribusiness, and so much more through hands-on activities and conversations with professionals working in these fields.

From the Lauderdale County Innovation Center to Walker Ranch, students had the opportunity to ask questions, try new things, and discover careers they may never have considered before.

A very special shout-out to our 3rd-year Teaching & Training seniors who served as our team leaders and tour guides!

They were a tremendous asset throughout the day, helping keep our 8th graders moving through the planned activities and making sure groups stayed on schedule. Their leadership, responsibility, and professionalism helped the entire event run smoothly.

We’re proud of our Career Coach team for helping coordinate a day designed to connect students with real-world career possibilities.

A heartfelt thank-you to all of the businesses, organizations, educators, farmers, volunteers, and community partners who gave their time and talents to make this day possible.

We’re also grateful to our event sponsors—McDonald’s, Chick-fil-A, Rudy’s Nursery & Garden Center, Foodland, Lauderdale County Farmers Federation, and The Vinyl Room—for their generous support.

And thank you to Florence-Lauderdale Coliseum for providing a great space for our students and helping make our lunch break possible.

We are especially grateful to the Northwest Alabama Resource Conservation & Development Council (Northwest RC&D) for providing grant funding to the Lauderdale County Soil and Water Conservation District, which helped make this event possible for our students.

Today was about planting seeds for tomorrow's careers.
