Welcome, Kisora, to Emergent Campus Trinidad!

We are thrilled to welcome Kisora Thomas to the Emergent Campus Trinidad team as our new Business Recruitment Leader!

Kisora is a software engineer and the founder of Apotome Labs. He studied Mathematics and Computer Science and has worked as a Full Stack Developer for a wide variety of companies. Kisora loves Trinidad, cares deeply about community work, and has been a part of the Emergent Campus Trinidad community for several years. He hosted our first Community Solution Sprint (CSS), "Hack Trinidad Forward" and recently ran a CSS overview in Canon City at SoCo Startup Week. Kisora has also mentored local high school tech interns and served on the Computer Science Advisory Board at Trinidad State College.

Now, he’s teaming up with Executive Director Joze Petrich, to bring forward-thinking companies to Southern Colorado. He will also be building out our network of regional partners.

"Trinidad has so much potential," says Kisora. "My goal is to help companies see why they should grow here. I want to connect them with the people and resources that make Emergent Campus such a great place to build."

Please join us in welcoming Kisora to the team!

Hello TNO Community,

We wanted to share an upcoming gathering in memory of Jay Jacoby, a former Emergent Campus tenant, member, volunteer, and familiar face within our community.

Jay’s sisters, Robin, Lori, and Shari, will be in Florence and have organized an informal time for friends and community members to come together, visit, and share memories and stories of Jay. This is not a formal celebration of life—simply an opportunity for those who knew him to stop by, connect, and remember him together.

Remembering Jay Jacoby
Saturday, October 10, 2026 | 10:00 AM–Noon
Florence Senior Center
100 Railroad Street, Florence, CO 81226

Coffee and snacks will be provided, and all are welcome. Whether you knew Jay well or simply crossed paths with him through Emergent Campus or Tech Night Out, his family would love to see you.

Please feel free to share this information with others in the community who may have known Jay and would like the opportunity to stop by.

We’re grateful to have had Jay as part of the Emergent Campus and TNO community, and we hope you’ll join his family in remembering him. ❤️

Warmly,
The Emergent Campus Team

Emergent Campus recently hosted Western Interstate Region (WIR), a multistate group of County Commissioners lead by Fremont County Commissioner Dwayne McFall.

The WIR team toured Emergent Campus Florence, met with entrepreneurs and business owners, and had a dedicated presentation from Tyler Messa, founder of DivideGraph.

DivideGraph builds Ark GARI, a model of Colorado's water system built from the public record. It ties each water right to its decree, priority, ditch or well, and diversion history, and then to the parcels, owners, buildings and permits it serves.

"The Pax8 Rural Empowerment Program was launched to create high-paying technology jobs in rural communities, allowing workers to build careers without leaving their hometowns.
