Many years ago, after completing a 200 hour yoga teacher training and M.Ed., I started to dream about the ways I could bring together all my passions into one creation. Prior to this time, I had been working with young children and their families for 15+ years in many capacities. While primarily as a certified preschool teacher, I also had worked as a mentor, program coordinator, drama teacher, pr
imary school teacher and community builder. During my time of teaching, I also received a Masters in Acupuncture and practiced as a licensed acupuncturist in the Boston area before returning to Lesley University to study in their Early Education and Creative Arts and Learning Program. The common thread became clear...kiddos, creative arts, community, connection and wellness. From this thread, Organic Sprouts Childcare manifested - weaving the core pieces of experience, personal practices and desire to create a rich soil (environment) for our little ones to grow and thrive. As a pescatarian for all of my adult life, I am excited to bring gardening skills to our young ones, where we can grow our own healthy organic food. As a dancer and yoga practitioner, I am delighted to bring movement experiences to our program. Art and music will also infuse our program, as I deeply believe that the creative arts inspire creative minds thinking and resiliency. Lastly, we are so fortunate that Organic Sprouts abuts Arcanum Field and Playground, along with Safety Village. We can simply walk around the hedges and have lots of space to play, run, swing, play on the playground and be in nature. Other adventures will include walks to Florence Center, where we can visit the Lilly Library, the local florist, hardware store or whatever else piques our interest! Here at Organic Sprouts Childcare, we aim to stay connected with our community and know (and honor) the value of connection among our families. I couldn't be more thrilled that Organic Sprouts has sprouted! Our weekend program is currently full, but please reach out to us if you would like to be placed on our waitlist. We also hope to be opening for a full-time program beginning the Summer of 2021.
