🐝 BEE FACT FRIDAY! 👀

Did you know honeybees have five eyes?

They have two large compound eyes for seeing the world around them, plus three smaller eyes on top of their head that help sense light and direction. That’s a lot of vision for such a tiny bee! 🌼🐝

Five eyes, two wings, and one very important job! 🐝💛 Honeybees may be small, but they are wonderfully designed for life in the hive and out in the flowers.

🐝 BEE FACT FRIDAY! 💦🍯

Did you know honeybees need water, too? Worker bees actually make special water-collecting trips and carry it back to the colony. On warm days, bees spread droplets inside the hive and fan their wings, helping cool their home through evaporation—almost like a tiny bee air-conditioning system! 🐝💨

If you keep bees or simply want to help your neighborhood pollinators, a shallow water source with rocks or pebbles for safe landing spots can give them a place to drink without drowning.

Who knew something as simple as water could be so important to a hive?

🐝 BEE FACT FRIDAY 🐝

Did you know? Honeybees can communicate through a special movement called the waggle dance! 💃🐝 A returning worker bee uses the dance to help her hive mates figure out the direction and distance to a good food source. It’s basically a tiny bee version of giving directions! 🌻🍯

No GPS needed! 😂🐝 When one of our girls finds a great patch of flowers, she can come home and dance the directions for the rest of the colony.

Honeybees never stop amazing us. 💛
