First Day of School: Schedule Checklist & Reminders

No Printed Schedule? No Problem!

We know the first day of school can bring a few jitters, but worrying about where to go shouldn't be one of them. If your student is walking through the doors on the first day without a printed schedule in hand, don't worry—we have you covered.

Here is everything you and your student need to know to make the first morning seamless and stress-free:

1. Check PowerSchool Anytime
Student schedules are officially live! Both parents and students can log into the PowerSchool Student and Parent Portal right now to view class schedules, teacher assignments, and room numbers.

2. First Period Lists Available On-Site
If you can't access PowerSchool or your student forgets their phone, they will not be lost. We have master lists of every student's 1st Period Teacher available on campus.

Our staff, counselors, and administrators will be stationed in the hallways in the morning to point them exactly where they need to go.

3. Official Schedules Issued in 1st Period
You do not need to print anything at home. Every registered student will be handed their official, updated printed schedule during their 1st Period class. Once they sit down in their first room, they are all set for the rest of the quarter!

A Quick Recap for Students:

- Know your 1st Period Teacher (check PowerSchool or ask a hallway staff member when you arrive).
- Go to your 1st Period classroom.
- Receive your printed schedule from your teacher!

We can't wait to welcome our students back for an incredible school year!
For any registration or PowerSchool login questions, please contact the Williams Middle School front office.

Tomorrow Is the Day, Tigers!

We are so excited to welcome our Tigers back to Williams Middle School tomorrow! To help make arrival as smooth and safe as possible, we've attached a map of our morning car line.

Morning Car Line Information
Entry and Routing (Purple Arrows): Enter the campus from W Vista Street and follow the purple arrows clockwise around the field loop toward the back parking area.

Drop-Off Zone (Turquoise Arrows): As you approach the school building along the curb, the traffic flow transitions into two lanes (turquoise arrows) for student unloading right outside the Gym entrance.

Exiting (Yellow Arrows): After your student safely exits the vehicle, follow the yellow arrows to loop back around the perimeter and exit onto W Vista Street.

The car line begins at 7:45 a.m.

Students should exit their vehicle on the crosswalk, where staff members will be ready to assist.

Please follow the directions of our staff on duty to help keep everyone safe.

Once your vehicle reaches the unloading zone, students should promptly exit onto the sidewalk.

Help Your Tiger Be Ready
Please have your student:
Wear their school ID before exiting the vehicle.
Have their backpack and all belongings ready to go.

A Little Patience Goes a Long Way
The first few days of school are always our busiest. Arrival may take a little longer than usual as bus transportation routes are finalized and everyone settles into their routines. We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work to ensure a safe and efficient start to the school year.

Important Registration Reminder
If your student has not completed registration, the parent/guardian and student must report to Attendance and Zoning before coming to Williams Middle School. Students who are not fully registered cannot attend classes or ride a school bus.

Bus Transportation Notice
If your student's registration was completed and approved after July 8, bus transportation will not be available on the first day of school. Families should plan to provide transportation until bus service has been assigned. Please note the the buses may pick your student up fro school, but it does not guarantee that they will have transporation home.

We can't wait to see our Tigers tomorrow morning as we begin an incredible new school year! Let's make it the best one yet!
