✨ What an AMAZING week at Lester Elementary! 🐾

Our Scotties have been learning, exploring, creating, and having SO much fun! 📚🎉

🏭 5th Grade stepped into the Industrial Revolution and learned all about the assembly line, while also becoming Text Structure Sleuths as they investigated how authors organize information. 🔎📖

💻 4th Grade cracked the code while learning about binary code and discovering how information can be represented using 1s and 0s! 🔢💡

From history to ELA to technology, our Scotties are proving that learning is an adventure every day at Lester! 🐾❤️

💙🐾 Grits for Grands at Lester!

There’s nothing quite like starting the day with a good breakfast and even better company! 🥣✨

We loved welcoming our grandparents, family members, and special adults to Grits for Grands this week! Our Scotties enjoyed making memories, reading books, and spending some extra-special time with the people who show up, cheer them on, and support them each and every day. 📚

Whether you are a grandparent, family member, mentor, or another special person in the life of one of our students, your presence matters. Thank you for showing up and making our Scotties feel so loved and supported! 🎉

🐾📚 Learning is ALWAYS an adventure at Lester Elementary! 📚🐾

We started our day with some extra special smiles as Wilson High School athletes greeted our Scotties! 🏈📣What a wonderful way to kick off the day! 💙

Our 3rd graders were busy learning and having fun! ➗✨ They explored arrays in math, searched for figurative language in ELA, and traveled to ancient Egypt in REACH! 🇪🇬

We ended the day with our wonderful Scottie Stewards, who shared their love of reading with our students and helped them practice their multiplication facts! 📖✖️💙

What a fantastic day of learning, teamwork, and Scottie pride! We are so proud of our Lester learners! 🐾💙

🐾✨ Learning in Action at Lester! ✨🐾

Our Scotties are up, moving, creating, and thinking!

➗ Ms. Shaw’s 5th Grade Math students took to the Wipebooks to practice multi-digit multiplication, showing their thinking and working through strategies together.

⚙️ In Ms. Harrelson’s 4th Grade REACH class, students put their Mêtis abilities to the test in the Makerspace by designing and building a trap for a monster to save Jason and the Argonauts!

We love seeing our Scotties actively engaged in their learning! 💙🐾

🌶️ We love giving our students opportunities to learn about and enjoy fresh, locally grown foods!

🥗Lester faculty also had the opportunity to attend “Teachers, Let’s Fuel Our Health!”—an event focused on metabolic health with Jacki Kleckner, Metabolic Health Educator!

🐾 Our AUS group is ROCKING it out this Friday! 🎉 From singing and dancing while learning the days of the week, to practicing writing their first and last names, our Scotties are learning, growing, and having FUN! ✏️📚

And of course, they wrapped up their week with some special time in our amazing sensory room!
