Reminder: Tomorrow, August 21, is Spirit Day! All students are invited to wear their favorite school-appropriate pajamas as we help "Put the Tribe to Sleep." We can't wait to see everyone showing their Falcon spirit!

We are so excited for our 2026 Spirit Days and want every single student to get involved!

Our Florence Falcons will kick off the regular season this Friday against Pinson Valley. Let's show them what our school spirit is all about!

Friday's Theme: Pajama Day
Roll out of bed and head straight to school in your favorite comfy PJs! We want a total blackout of cozy gear so we can officially "Put the Tribe to Sleep."
When: Friday, August 21
What to wear: All pajamas must be school appropriate!!!

We are so proud of Weeden Elementary!

This article highlights the growth happening at Weeden and the progress our students are making. That growth is a reflection of the hard work of our students, teachers, staff, families, and community. We are also proud that our 2025–26 ACAP results put Weeden above the Alabama state proficiency average in both Reading and Math!

Alabama Daily News analyzed school-level ACAP results and found 78 schools where ELA proficiency increased by at least 10 percentage points.

It’s been hot during dismissal! Our amazing teachers are outside opening car doors no matter the temperature. Today our admin treated everyone to a cold sonic slushie to help beat the heat and let them know just how thankful we are for them.

These little learners in Mrs. Parrish’s Kindergarten class are learning numbers to 5! From counting to recognizing numbers, we’re making math fun, hands-on, and full of smiles!

🎉 Spotlighting Excellence: Day 2 Praise Referrals!
The school year is barely 48 hours old, and our students are already setting an incredible tone! Today, three outstanding individuals went above and beyond to show kindness to others, earning their first Praise Referrals of the year.

🌟 What is a Praise Referral?
A Praise Referral is our way of recognizing students who demonstrate exceptional character, integrity, kindness, leadership, or academic effort. These students are true models of the Falcon Way. Teachers and staff submit these special referrals when a student's positive actions make our school a better place to learn and grow.
