Yes. This is really happening at the Florence Farmers' Market this Wednesday.
We are celebrating Vegetables in Underwear by Jared Chapman with vegetable stamping, design-your-own vegetable underwear creations displayed on an actual clothesline, and the Granny Pants Game β€” with prizes. Big thank you to Kenzie at High Five Books ooks for inspiring this idea!
Plus the Space Trailer and pop-up reading room. Because of course. πŸš€πŸ“š

Second Friday at Smith College Museum of Art was a cosmic hit! Community members made solar system necklaces, glow-in-the dark constellation art, adventured into space stories, and played in the traveling space trailer. Thanks for having us! πŸš€πŸ”

Sugar crystals are one of the most fascinating structures in your kitchen. πŸͺ✨
This week BakeLab Camp scientists explored exactly why β€” testing glucose levels in everyday foods and drinks and using the chemistry of sugar crystallization to make stunning stained glass window cookies. The kind of beautiful that also happens to be completely edible.
Real food science. Real kitchen chemistry. Real delicious results. πŸ’›

Did you know sunlight can make a photograph? πŸ‚β˜€οΈ
This Wednesday at the Florence Farmers' Market we are making cyanotype prints β€” a beautiful and surprisingly simple photographic process that uses actual sunlight to develop images β€” alongside classic leaf rubbings. Part art. Part chemistry. Completely wonderful. ALL FUN!
You bring kids. We will bring the science. πŸ’›

Has a Needoh ever exploded all over your living room? 🌈
Same. And honestly? We respect it.
Which is exactly why we created Needoh Science Lab β€” a half-day pop-up program where kids discover the real polymer science and materials chemistry behind the world's most satisfying squish. They will stretch it, test it, explore it, and yes β€” make their very own Needoh to take home.
Mess included. Science guaranteed. πŸ˜„
Needoh Science Lab is part of our brand new Fall Half-Day Pop-Up Program lineup β€” now live and open for registration at High Five Books!

Case closed. πŸ”
Last week our Mini-Detective Forensic Science campers cracked it, and the investigation was no joke.
They analyzed footprints and learned to identify animal tracks. They tested their own shoe prints as evidence. They learned the real science behind fingerprint identification and discovered how to tell different inks apart from a single black marker. And then they studied a list of suspects, debated the evidence, and presented their verdict.
Real forensic science. Real critical thinking. Real case closed. Book 'em, Dano!
The best part? There is a brand new crime to solve β€” and a whole new group of detectives needed to crack it.
Our Mini-Detective Forensic Science half-day pop-up program is open for registration right now. Same skills. Different mystery. Equally satisfying. πŸ”
