Nobody talks enough about this… REMEMBER THE HARD IS WHAT MAKES IT GREAT ‼️‼️
If you want to be REALLY good at softball, you better learn how to suffer.
Not physically.
Mentally.
You better learn how to walk back to the dugout after punching out with the game on the line. You better learn how to give up a bomb and still attack the next hitter like nothing happened. You better learn how to hear people doubt you, question you, compare you, overlook you…and still show up the next day ready to work.
Because that’s the game.
Softball isn’t designed to protect your confidence.
It’s designed to expose it.
The athletes who last aren’t the ones who never struggle. They’re the ones who stop treating struggle like something is wrong.
Missing isn’t failure. Getting beat isn’t failure. Losing your confidence for a moment isn’t failure.
Staying there is.
Every great player you’ve ever watched has looked absolutely LOST at some point.
The difference?
They didn’t panic. They didn’t reinvent themselves. They didn’t run from the hard stuff.
They accepted that greatness comes with scars, kept showing up, and let time do what time always does…
It rewards the people who refuse to leave.
Stop chasing a career with no adversity.
That career doesn’t exist.
Become the athlete that adversity gets tired of fighting.
