Polar Cubs Childcare Center PCCC is a nonprofit org working towards addressing and finding solutions to the child care crisis. We offer care to children 6 weeks-12 years of age.

Our Mission

Polar Cubs Childcare Center’s mission is to provide a welcoming, nurturing, and safe environment for children while away from their homes to enable parents and guardians to be gainfully employed. We are an organization that aims to involve all members of the community through offering childcare, employment, volunteerism, all while fostering lifelong relationships, a love of learning,

and discovery. Polar Cubs believes in fairness, diversity, developmentally appropriate experiences, and care that is flexible to the needs of families in and surrounding our community. Our goals:

-Address the child care crisis in our community
-To respond quickly but strategically to a long-term solution
-Economic stability
-Motivated to see a change
-Supporting our community

Polar Cubs Childcare Center opened on September 16, 2024. We lease a beautiful space within the school that is secluded with a private entrance, locked entrance. Our capacity is 68, between 4 rooms. We have a fenced in playground, indoor play space featuring the playset purchased from Duluth's previous Little Neecher's. Director:

Because we participate in the CACFP Food Program, snacks must meet USDA food guidelines. To help us reduce waste and make sure donations can actually be served to the children, we are asking for approved snack items only.

Parents and volunteers needed to help run the Polar Cubs Kids Carnival Games at the Meadowlands Fair!

All proceeds help support the Polar Cubs Childcare Center snack program. Last year, the carnival games raised nearly $400 for snacks and supplies for the kids! 🎉

🎪 Carnival-style games
📍 Meadowlands Fair
📅 Saturday, August 15 | 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
📅 Sunday, August 16 | 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM

The games, prizes, and start-up cash will already be set up and ready to go. Volunteers simply show up ready to have fun helping kids play games and cash in tickets!

Volunteer arrival times:
• Saturday: arrive around 9:30 AM
• Sunday: arrive around 11:30 AM

We are looking for:
• 1 person to help collect money and exchange tickets/prizes
• 2–3 people to help run games
• Pre-teens and teens are welcome to help alongside adults

If you are willing to help, please comment below what day/time you would be available! Even helping for a couple hours makes a huge difference and helps support the Polar Cubs snack program while making the fair extra fun for the kids! 🎪❤️

This is also a great opportunity for students looking for community service or volunteer hours!
