I don’t know about y’all, but I’m getting excited!

I can’t wait to welcome back my returning CTI students and meet all the new faces joining our CTI family this year. Whether you’ve been with CTI before or this is your first year, I’m so glad you’re here.

One of my favorite parts of being a CTI Coordinator is seeing students grow, find their strengths, develop skills they’ll use for life, and accomplish things they didn’t think they could. That’s what makes this job so rewarding.

I have a feeling this is going to be an amazing year filled with new opportunities, hands-on learning, leadership, friendships, and memories we’ll never forget. I can’t wait to see what we accomplish together!

Enjoy these last few weeks of summer, and I’ll see everyone soon. Here’s to another great year with our CTI family—we’re just getting started! 🖤🐾

G.R.O.W Camp Day 5: Celebrating Success! 🎉

What a great way to wrap up G.R.O.W Camp! Today, students put their creativity and workplace readiness skills to the test by creating their own businesses, developing products, promoting them, and giving sales pitches. We were amazed by their innovative ideas, confidence, and enthusiasm!

We also played a fun round of Would You Rather?, which sparked lots of laughs and great conversations. To celebrate an incredible week, we enjoyed a pizza and ice cream party while reflecting on our successes and growth. Students shared their favorite experiences, what they learned, and how they stepped outside their comfort zones throughout the week.

We are so proud of each student for their hard work, participation, and willingness to try new things. It has been an amazing week of learning, growth, and new friendships!

G.R.O.W Camp Day 4: Career Exploration, Community Connections, and Gratitude

Today, our GROW students visited Prater’s Flooring, where they learned that this local company is responsible for creating some of the most recognizable athletic floors in the country. With the slogan, “We make the art you play on,” Prater’s has produced flooring for professional sports organizations, including the Minnesota Timberwolves, Chicago Bulls, and Los Angeles Lakers. Students enjoyed seeing firsthand how craftsmanship, creativity, and technology come together to create world-class products.

After the tour, students stopped by the new Adventure Acres Park in Rossville before enjoying lunch together at Amigos. These experiences provided opportunities to build social skills, teamwork, and confidence while exploring our community.

To wrap up the day, students returned to school and wrote thank-you cards to the businesses and community partners who have welcomed us throughout the week. We are incredibly grateful for everyone who has invested their time and support into helping our students learn about careers, workplace expectations, and opportunities for their future.

Thank you to all of our community partners for helping make GROW Camp such a meaningful experience!
