🎉 Welcome to the UM-Flint Physical Therapy Department, Dr. Nick Sliger PT, DPT, OCS!

Nick joins the DPT program as a Clinical Assistant Professor, bringing extensive clinical experience in orthopedics, acute care, and cardiopulmonary physical therapy. He is a Board-Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist and completed a Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Physical Therapy Residency at Michigan Medicine.

We are excited to have his clinical expertise, enthusiasm for teaching, and commitment to the physical therapy profession as part of our DPT faculty.

🎉 Please join us in welcoming Dr. Dayna Ryan, PT, DPT, NCS, to the University of Michigan-Flint Physical Therapy Department as a Clinical Assistant Professor!

Dr. Ryan is a UM-Flint DPT alumna who returns to the department with more than 15 years of clinical experience. A Board-Certified Neurologic Clinical Specialist, she has extensive expertise in neurorehabilitation, including the care of individuals with multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, cerebral palsy, stroke, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury.

Dr. Ryan's research includes work in multiple sclerosis and cerebral palsy, and she served as a Co-Investigator/Clinical Interventionist on the NIH-funded PromPT study, focused on promoting exercise for individuals with multiple sclerosis through physical therapy.

We are excited to welcome Dr. Ryan back to UM-Flint and look forward to the clinical expertise, teaching, and scholarship she will bring to our students, faculty, and community.

We are excited to welcome Dr. Jenny LaCross, PT, DPT, PhD, ATC, a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Women’s Health Physical Therapy to the PT faculty as an Associate Professor!

Dr. LaCross brings extensive clinical, teaching, and research experience in pelvic and women’s health, musculoskeletal rehabilitation, and sports physical therapy. Her research focuses on female pelvic floor function, physical activity and aging, pregnancy and postpartum health, and the relationship between hip and pelvic floor function.

We are excited to have Dr. LaCross join our faculty and bring her expertise to our students, research, and community!
