Boxes, bags and plenty of maize and blue marked the start of a new chapter as residential students moved into UM-Flint's First Street Residence Hall Aug. 20. With a little help from family, friends and volunteers from across campus, our newest and returning Wolverines began making themselves at home ahead of the first day of fall classes, Aug. 24.

You can feel it, can't you? With students moving into First Street Residence Hall Aug. 20, UM-Flint is once again starting to look, sound and feel like home. Volunteers from across campus were there to welcome students and families, lend a hand and help turn a residence hall room into something a little more personal. With fall classes just days away, we caught up with some of our Wolverines as they unpacked, settled in and got ready for what's next. 💛💙

You know what this means ... 👀 Every summer, before thousands of students return to campus, the Block M on Kearsley Street gets a little love. Cracks are filled. A fresh coat of maize paint goes down. And one of UM-Flint's most recognizable landmarks is ready to welcome another academic year. It's one of those annual traditions that quietly reminds us a fresh semester, new faces and unique opportunities are just around the corner. See you soon, Wolverines! 💙💛
