Inside Acceleration Tutoring Center

📢 IATC is closed today in observance of Indigenous Peoples’ Day. We’ll see you when we reopen! 🧡
Today, take a moment to honor Indigenous peoples—their sacrifices, resilience, rich traditions, and continuing contributions. 🌎 Celebrate by exploring Indigenous art and stories, supporting Indigenous-owned businesses, or attending a local cultural event. 📚🎨
Let’s listen, learn, and show respect for Indigenous communities, past and present. ✨

I am so grateful and truly honored to share two special announcements! 🧡🤗🥰

Inside Acceleration Tutoring Center has been nominated for an Art of Achievement Award! 🏆
This annual event highlights businesses and leaders making an impact in Flint & Genesee. 🌟 We look forward to the ceremony on Nov. 4 at the FIM Capitol Theatre. 🎭

Each year, the Art of Achievement Awards recognize some of the people and places that make Flint & Genesee so special. 💫 🏆

I’m honored to share that for the 2nd year in a row I’ve been nominated for this year’s Young Professional Leader Award ✨, and Inside Acceleration Tutoring Center has been nominated for the Small Business Award! 📚🏫 To learn more about the event, visit FlintandGenesee.org/aoa 🔗

When I started IATC, my goal was simple: give students in our community low cost, quality support so they could believe in what they’re capable of. 💡📖

Every session, every breakthrough, and every family who continues to trust us helped build what we have today. 🧡🫱🏾‍🫲🏻 This recognition belongs to our tutors, our students, our parents, and every partner who has stood beside us. 🥲

So excited to be nominated for two Art of Achievement Awards! ✨🏆
Join us on Nov. 4 at the FIM Capitol Theatre as we celebrate Flint & Genesee’s businesses, leaders, and community. 🎉

With gratitude, 🧡
Mrs. Esha Brown

❄️⛄ Winter is coming, and so are IATC online-only sessions 💻✨

Michigan roads are no fun in the winter 🚗🧊 so to keep everyone safe and at home, all tutoring will be online only:

📅 Tuesday, January 5, 2027 through Saturday, February 6, 2027

💬 Tell us in the comments: hot cocoa ☕ or warm tea 🍵 for online study time?

✅ Same tutors
✅ Same learning, from your couch 🛋️📚

⚠️ Reminder: you still need to schedule online sessions just like in-person ones. That keeps our tutor-to-student ratio the same, so every student gets the attention they need 🙌

🛒 Shop at Kroger?
Then you can help Genesee County kids learn, and it won’t cost you a cent. 📚✨

Here’s how it works 👇
1️⃣ Go to kroger.com/communityrewards
2️⃣ Log into your Kroger account
3️⃣ Search for code LF928
(Pretty Tough Womens Empowerment will show. Inside Acceleration Tutoring Center is automatically linked to it)
4️⃣ Link it to your rewards card. That’s all it takes 🙌

Every time you shop, Kroger gives back to IATC. That helps us keep our tutoring strong and our free programs going for Genesee County students 🎒💛

💬 Comment “LINKED” ✅ once you’ve done it so we can thank you.

📲 Share this with one friend who shops at Kroger.

Every card helps.

If it wasn’t for Dolly Parton’s incredible Imagination Library and its gift of free books to children, IATC Pages of Possibility would not have been born. 📚✨

When the program was stopped indefinitely for Genesee County residents because of federal funding changes, the news was heartbreaking for so many families. In the midst of that loss, IATC stepped up to create Pages of Possibility, continuing the joy of reading by delivering free books to more than 30 local families since the program began. 🧡🏡

Your legacy reminds us that every child deserves the opportunity to dream, learn, and grow through books. Thank you, Dolly, for inspiring this work and planting seeds of possibility in communities everywhere. 🌟📖
Rest peacefully, Mrs. Dolly Parton. 🧡

IATC ended Summer Camp with a BLAST last week! 🎉☀️ While everyone isn't pictured, our scholars brought the fun, creativity, and unforgettable energy for a week full of smiles and celebration.

From cozy **Pajama Day** 💤🧸 to our amazing Talent Show 🎤✨, every scholar had a chance to shine in their own special way. We loved seeing the confidence, courage, comedy, dancing, singing, magic, creativity, and big personalities on display! 🤗🎶

Thank you to our families, staff, and scholars for making this summer one to remember. 🧡 & Ending it off with our theme song!

We are so proud of everything our IATC scholars learned, created, and accomplished, and we cannot wait to see what the next season brings! 📚🌟
