Andrea Z. Folden Piano Practice Room Dedication

Please join us as we celebrate the dedication of the Andrea Z. Folden Piano Practice Room and honor Andrea Z. Folden’s lasting contribution to the Mott Community College community.

Andrea Zlatec Floden (1939–2026) devoted her life to music, as a pianist, teacher, accompanist, and mentor in the Flint community. She served as an Adjunct Professor of Music at Mott Community College for 37 years, taught generations of students at home and at the Flint Institute of Music, and accompanied countless young and professional musicians.

A graduate of Eastern Michigan University, she performed with the Flint Symphony Orchestra and other regional ensembles. Andrea was also a devoted leader of the St. Cecilia Society, serving as its president multiple times.

This piano room is dedicated in grateful recognition of her lasting musical legacy and the many lives she enriched.
