From building homes to serving meals, our JROTC students are making an impact. They recently served lunch for the Veteran Move-in celebration at the Veteran's Village in Flint. This event was special knowing that our Construction Trades students helped build two of the tiny homes in the village.

Congratulations to our CTE Early Middle College students on their graduation and extra achievements! This is a 3-year commitment through a partnership with Mott Community College. This year, Cohort 7 had 34 graduates from 14 local school districts, with an average GPA of 3.28, earn their MEMCA certificate. Ten graduates also earned an associate degree. Great job, everyone!

We were excited to welcome State Representative Jasper Martus, alongside Michigan College Access Network and Genesee ISD! 👏

During the visit, we showcased the many opportunities available to Genesee County students through CTE, Dual Enrollment, and CTE Early Middle College. Rep. Martus had the chance to meet some students in our Welding, Auto, and HVAC programs, tour our facility, and see firsthand the incredible learning happening at GCI every day.

Day 2 of Recognition Days continued the celebration of our incredible graduating seniors! 🎓👏 We’re so proud to recognize these students for their hard work and achievements, and excited for their next steps.

Huge shout out to Presley Lobocki, Linden Community Schools student and Marketing Pitch Club member, for being named a Semi-Finalist in the national Mott Million Dollar Challenge! 👏

Chosen from more than 5,300 submissions nationwide, Presley is now one of just 60 semi-finalists heading to the final competition in Flint this June. Congratulations, Presley!
