The Flint & Genesee Literacy Network is a bold initiative focused on significantly and permanently raising literacy levels throughout Genesee County.

"The mission of Flint and Genesee Literacy Network is to seek out, convene, align, and build capacity in partners who improve the lives of individuals, children, and families of Flint and Genesee County by radically raising literacy levels." A wide-range of community stakeholders are leading this community collaboration, but it is “owned” and built by our community at large.

Today we celebrate an incredible milestone of a very special member of the FGLN family 💚 Please join us in congratulating Ladelvin Walker. From learner to leader, her journey reflects the power of perseverance and the impact of education, and we have had the privilege of witnessing every step of it. Along the way, she earned her GED, received the ProLiteracy Colvin & Laubach Award for Adult Learner Excellence in 2019, and served as a Workforce Literacy Coach at the Talent Development Center for GST Michigan Works! throughout her post-secondary education.
