E Week ended with elephants and eggs. O played with old Easter eggs most of the week and pretended to crack and fry them on a cardboard oven I whipped up. We went in a field trip to the mall and went on the escalator. And we also got a few envelopes in the mail from some sweet family members! Cheers to E Week! What were your highlights?

Square and rectangles:
Cardboard, clothespins, and markers make super easy manipulatives!
We counted the sides and talked about what was the same and different.

Fun fact: In case you want to share for A Week, here's some fascinating information about the albatross! We also learned it has special glands in order to filter the salt out of the water. How cool!

Tip Time:
A simple bin and puffs from the dollar store or other craft store can help keep your littlest busy while trying to work with your preschooler, especially when hot glue guns are involved.

This week has been a blast! Other than the unexpected outbreak of chicken pox, we were able to incorporate lots of c things into our week! My helper helped make chocolate chip cookies and cinnamon rolls and we even talked about how c makes different sounds when paired with different letters, like ch and ci {s}. O has asked me to write down our c words as we've done them so he's gotten the c sound down great! We also had cheese, crackers, carrots, and cucumbers for lunch thie week and we're planning on having chicken chili for dinner tonight. On top of that, we also had a special opportunity to participate in a community clean up this week, so it was a great way to bring in school with a service project to teach my little the importance of serving our community! Check out the comments for some extra insight on how to tailor activities to your little. Looking forward to D week on Monday! How are your weeks going?

B Week was a lot of fun! We shared our activities with some friends in our neighborhood. We learned the colors of the rainbow and found the hole they went in, we even tried to find Big B and Little b in ball bins. We also had a lot of fun doing our Bear movement poem as well! We even read some fun books about birds, bugs, and blooms.... but eventually we needed to take a break.

A Week was a success with our A for Alligator and a for apple! We had an apple for snack, cut one in half to see the parts and glue on the seeds for our apple. We ran across the room to match upper and lower case apples in their baskets. And we made playdough apples for our trees, counting to five and working on our fine motor skills.

A glowing review by one of our most recent orders! So thankful! Thank you Lena Chizek !
:If you are looking for an EXCELLENT, AFFORDABLE, SIMPLE, and EFFECTIVE, preschool curriculum then check out For the Love of Learning’s page! This homeschool momma of 4 has created an easy to use, NOT overwhelming curriculum that’s also minimal prep! I don’t have a lot of time in the week to prep. I’ve simply had to make a few copies, select readings from my own books that match the material for the week, put toys in a bin that go with the letter for the week. It’s cost effective and wonderful!
I have paid 10X as much for preschool material before (sad but true 🥴) that is way LESS effective, way more prep and OVERWHELMING!
I’ve had a lot of fun getting ready for our weeks instead of feeling like it’s adding to my already heavy homeschool schedule. Often all of my other kids can join in on activities if I want them to, or I can really tailor it for some one on one time with my child and to their interests. So glad I found For the Love of Learning Tot School!
Last week I felt like I was late to the game, but God worked it out for us to start letter A the same week as we began Autumn with apples! It was perfect! All of my kids enjoyed the craft, even Malachi, who knows his letters and who HATES all things crafty! It was a great refresher for Luna as she starts kindergarten and Amelia has really started to speak more as she tries to say all the A words with us!
It also coincided perfectly with our verse for the week: Psalm 1:4 about being a tree planted and bearing fruit. And also with our science for the week all about fruit bearing plants! I couldn’t have planned it better myself if I had tried!
It was truly a Spirit led homeschool week and one I’ll remember for a long time ❤️

Playing with Autumn Leaves on this chilly day in Aa Week! Enjoying our Dollar Tree find just a couple dollars and a bunch of indoor leaf pile fun! We'll use these leaves to put our alphabet on, capital and lower cases to find matches later on!
