Under the leadership of Chapter President Lauren K. Perkins and Membership Chairman Karen D. Pugh, Esq., we proudly welcome Samaura Abernathy, Matika Smith Fisher, Lauren Jones, Tonya Wingate Perkins, Lori M. Ross, Shannon Searcy, Tamala Ware, and Chania Williams into our illustrious sisterhood.

We are honored to celebrate this special milestone and look forward to their service, sisterhood, and commitment to Alpha Kappa Alpha’s legacy of excellence and Service to All Mankind.

Join us for "The Girl Code Experience" on Saturday, June 13, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the McLaren Hospitality House! The event is designed for young ladies ages 11–14 and focuses on building confidence, character, connection, and community through engaging conversations and activities.

What a wonderful time along with other sisters of Zeta Beta Omega Chapter and the Divine Nine had attending "The Soul of Etta James" production at The New McCree Theatre on May 23, 2026. The performance celebrated the life, legacy and unforgettable voice of Etta James. Experiences like these build the bonds of sisterhood amongst us while supporting local artistic endeavors in our community.

This Memorial Day, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® pauses to honor the legacy of our nation’s heroes.

We deeply remember the brave men, women, and especially our courageous AKA Sisters who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our freedom. Today, we reflect on their profound dedication, and commit to upholding the values of unity and service they so proudly fought for.
